I would check the toner motor and the toner roller. Make sure toner motor is turning. I would check the toner roller especially if the copies are really over toned. It is a foam roller and in the bottom of the toner hopper, if the end of the roller is worn, you will know it. -
Here is a photo of probably what your going to find. I have run across this as well. Messy job. I took a few peices of 11x17 paper, taped them together and dumped the toner onto that after cracking the tank open. Vacumed it out the best i could, changed the roller and problem was solved. Our machine would always get very low TCS readings and as the problem progressed the DV was so over toned it was dropping toner onto the paper as copies were made. The easier fix is a new toner hopper but the price difference probably won't be easy to justify.

On a machine this old, I would also look at the mag roller for seizing. When it starts to seize, it will break gears in the main drive, so you won't hear any unusual noises. The developing unit just loses drive. If you replace the main drive only, the same gears will break in a few weeks (until the developing unit is replaced). =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
