    AR-BC260 Missing Error code?

Forgive me If I'm missing it, but I've gone through the manual twice and am unable to locate a code a client called into the shop

    "CE" service?

I'm on my way to check it out personally, and am hoping that either they read it wrong...or I'm just suffering from post 3 day weekenditis, as I have found no mention of this code in the manual.

As always, any help is appreciated.

You may just have to clear 24-4 - color maintenance. To make sure, you can go into 21-1 to find out for sure what the color PM is set for, it should be 50K. But for you to read it for yourself. Page 10-10 1/3 of the way down the page, it tells you what the first digit stands for C=color and then the second digit E= 50K.

CE error codes can also be for network scanning issues.

CE codes are scanner communication errors.........

CE-01 The optional network interface card (Print Server Card) is not installed or is out of order.
CE-02 Cannot find the specified mail server or FTP server.
CE-03 The server was down during the scanning of the original.
CE-04 An invalid account name or password for the FTP server has been entered.
CE-05 An invalid directory of the FTP server has been entered.
CE-00 An error other than the above has occurred.

Don't worry about the code! Just dowse the machine in fuel and burn it down! Save you a bunch of headaches later on.

I was on the phone with Sharp once for help on one of those machines and i said "This machine does not like me." He replied with "Those machines don't like any body."

thank you all for the advice, it turned out that they had misread the code, or it was mistranslated to my work order...etc.

I do appreciate the feedback from you all though, since apparently if it HAD been the correct code, there was stuff I was missing in the manual.

As for dousing it in fuel...I must admit that after nearly slicing my fingertip in half replacing a developer driver gear on one of these, the thought had occurred.
