From Memory (minding not to get caught in the cobwebs), access is by pressing the red C key then the key at the other end of the op panel (Could be exposure) then Red C & the farthest left key again.

Display goes blank then you use the "10" key for the first part of the code i.e.1* then the "1" key for the second part i.e. *4, so crop 14 would be press "10" key once then "1" key 4 times then green start button. To correct an error you can just keep pressing the button as it will scroll round 0-9 each time.

To exit the mode press & hold the red C key, likewise for a meter reading when the m/c is ready press & hold the red C key.

            Hope this helps.

            Tony

I have never heard of a arM-150. I think you mean ar-150. Then to get into service mode it's clear-exposure-clear-exposure. That will get you in, but what are you trying to do? You need the codes to refer to. You really need a manual for this one. This time the "manuals for you" guy seems to be the best choice. Never thought I would ever say that. Kudos to you manual guy. (paul, if that is the correct name I remember)

Just because you never heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I have the Parts & Service manual for this multifunctional product.

It's great you have the manuals and I hope you make a huge fortune selling them to all the techs looking for the ever most popular arm-150. I never heard of it, never saw one and never will. Just gave my two cents to the poor guy trying to fix one. Sorry I was wrong and directed him to you. You know, with my foolish assumption that he should buy a manual from you. I mean an ar-150 manual, not the popular arM-150 manual. So hopefully you will sell him one and he can fix the machine and you can run to the bank laughing.

Well I'm glad to see business is so good for everyone that they can afford to give out free service to everyone who posts here whether or not they are techs or home users. At this rate pretty soon they will have home depot's for copier repairs and your business will drop through the floor.

I would love to see users try to fix there own machines. It would most likely boost business through the roof! Every tech knows how customers are so good at doing the complicated things like: adding paper, adding toner, and clearing paper jams with letter openers. As far as home depot? If you own a machine that you can pick up and throw out the window, then who cares if you bring it anywhere! There is not a lot of money to be made telling a customer their 300 dollar machine will need 300 dollars worth of repair except the initial service fee. Not my bag baby. I was under the impression that this forum was to seek advice from other techs when needed, and to give advice as best you can if you think you can help. Unfortunately, users get into the mix somehow. There is nothing I can do about this and I really don't care. A question is a question and if it is asked by a user then good luck to them interpretting the answers they may get.

Easy, Easy gentlemen. Where's the moderator when you need him?
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It's okay Blackcat. No moderator required. I really don't have any hard feelings toward "manuals for you". I know he's just trying to make a living like we all are. There are maybe just some differences in opinion. It's all good. Maybe the guy asking for the info bought the manual from him.

Hey Gordie you are correct. This forum is really good. I have always tried to give the best advice I could think of and I know I have received great advice from alot of other tech's. That is really cool. Usually it seems to work this way. I guess I got a little pissed about the attitude of some of the other post's on the forum. It's all good though. Everyone needs to vent once in a while. I do not harbor any bad feelings towards anyone, and do not want to let my personal feelings detract from the real purpose of this forum. And that, I believe, is for techs to communicate and share their experiences and knowledge with other techs to help each other out.
                              Regards
