    Sharp mx-3501 h4-30 error code

Can anyone give me some info on this code. We're a Kyocera dealer and one of our customers is asking for our help with this machine. Thanks in advance for your replies. Steve

IT's thermistor problem. could be paper or suchlike in fuser or if the fuser is well worn

it will need the fuser kits.

It's a problem with the thermistors, harness trouble, or the PCU pwb. Test command 5-2 will turn the fuser lamps on/off, if they blink, check the thermistors and harness. If they don't blink, check for lamp disconnect or thermostat breakage; could also have an interlock switch problem. Clear error code with test command 14.

If you get either H4-00 or H4-30 on a MX3500/4500N, it is fixed by repositioning the washers on the upper heat roller and sub heat unit roller thermistats from ontop of the thermistat to under them. This raises the thermistats up from the rollers, increasing the gap between the thermistat & the rollers. Reset with sim14, and it shouldnt come back again. There is a bulletin on this subject.

Just to follow up. The fuser was in excellent shape. The thermistat had already been moved and I think they said they have the problem when they run envelopes in large numbers (200+). It hasn't failed since we reset it.

                2 year necro-thread!

OMD-227 is a former user of CopyTechNet who is unfortunately no longer allowed to post here, despite his awesome information which was always spot on perfect due to his monumental knowledge of Sharp colour copiers. OMD-227 was not his name. It's unlikely you'll get a response from him...

However, because I'm such a kind soul, I've collected the related bulletin for you.
