MXC311 Dead out of the box

I proceeded to set up a new MXC311 yesterday and got the developer units in the machine and when I tried to run Sim 25-2 I had no power. I assumed that I had a dead outlet, (we are in an old building) but tried 3 others and the same result. I am assuming I have a bad ps pwb since I have 120volts at all the connectors that should have it, but have no DC power at any output connectors. Any thing else I can check? Thanks.
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

The first thing that I would do is remove any removable accessories. This is a unique thing about Sharp. A shorted 24vdc line in any part of the machine can kill the whole machine. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

This may seem stupid but does this model have the internal power switch as well as the external switch? All the MX series machines that I have worked on have 2 power switches but we do not have one of these yet.

      Good luck.

It does have 2 and both are on. The main switch on this one is on the left side toward the back. By the way, if you can avoid these machines, do it. Not Sharp's crowning achievement.

If you got AC going into the DC power supply and nothing comming out of your 24 volt, 5 volt lines etc i would try the DC power supply.

As for the machine it's self we have sold around 15 of them so far and they have been pretty good. There is a squeak in the fuser drive that just needs to be lubricated and so far that has fixed it. I know it's to early to tell how these are going to be in the long run but so far my first impression on them has been ok. The fuser looks like a prick to rebuild but the rest is very easy. Your PM's are just slam in new units and walk out, rollers are easy to change and come in kits.

Also on these machines you don't need to run 25-2. When you power them on the first time and install the DV and toner they run their own auto calibration that takes 2 or 3 minutes and puts up the screen telling you not to touch the machine while it does this.

This is also new product on it's first generation so there are going to be some werid things to be fixed but give it a year and i imagine things will be running smoothly.
