toner sticking to fuser and wavey paper on im4510/11

I have several clients whose toner builds up and sticks to the fuser frame right where the paper comes out of the fuser. Sometimes the toner is soft and pliable and sometimes it is rock hard. When it's hard, it causes paper jams. All I do is cut off the hardened toner and it is good for a few more weeks. I've tried reducing the fuser temperature, changing the fan that blows onto the fuser and putting new developer in. I'm running out of ideas and our tech support has never seen it.

Also, might be a coincidence, but it seems like everyone that has this problem also has occasional wavey paper. My supervisor says it's the paper, but I think it might be something else.

Usually (on sharp versions) there may be a small bit on that upper guide, but not enough to cause jamming, I'd place the fuser temps back to default, (lower temps could cause poor fusing and make the problem worse), what is the paper weight they are using, there can be issues with 28lb paper and fusing, plus how do their copies/prints look? if the machine is overtoned, or has extremely dense coverage, toner could rub off. also running heavier paper 28lb+ alot in plain paper mode causes fusing issues too.
Where the heck is my spring hook?

Is the toner being properly fused into the paper? Will the toner rub off or is it raised on the paper? I have found many similar models where the fuser pressure release levers are set for thicker paper when I get there to do service, yet they are copying onto 20lb paper. This might be worth checking.

Have you checked the press roller? Are these OEM press rollers? Sharp uses a cleaning roller on the press roller because the press roller attracts toner more than the upper roller. Problems with the press roller might cause wavy copies.

they are using 20 lb. paper and it isn't overtoning or dense coverage.

are you sure the customer isn't releasing the fuser pressure tabs? Thats the only time i've seeen what you describe is when the customer will run the machine for a length of time with the pressure tabs up. Customer swore that wasn't the case but after i removed the levers all together, the problem never came back.

Whats the meter on the supplies/fuser rollers? OE or aftermarket toner or DV?
