Two new machines are experiencing E6-11 codes. We have replaced the DF main harness, CIS unit and the scanner control PWB. Next I was going to replace the pigtail that ties into the engine. The delivery person says he disconnects the harness that plugs into the engine, but running out of things to try. Has anyone been experiencing this problem. I have not seen any bulletins on this issue, either.

Not specific to your code, I have seen bent pins on the scanner connector, or a partially attached scanner connector. Neither of those would really explain (2) new machines with the same error. Did you notice if the LEDs illuminate in the CIS?
The only other pertinent thing that I can mention is that I have blown a scanner board in the past by lifting the scanner by the metal plate under the scanner board. The metal plate is flexible, and there is no sort of insulation between the board and the bottom plate, so it is very easy to short out the solder joints on the bottom of the board. On the few scanner boards I did have to remove or replace I usually taped down a transparency to the metal plate. It's not perfect, but it's more than nothing. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes, the LEDs do light. The code is intermittent, where it will not show itself to me when testing, but the customer will call back in days or weeks. The 2 copiers are not at the same location. One is at a school and the other at a Dr. office.Comment

Have you tried adjusting sim 63-7. I realize this is for the ccd scan not the cis but I have had to do this to get the E6-11 to clear. Default is 6 and I changed it to 8 and redid the white reference 63-2, using 3 sheets of clean paper to cover the slit glass. Hope this is helpful.
Good luck.
