    sharp jam codes?

is there any place that one could find the meaning to all of sharp's jam codes. the manual seem to expect one to know all the abrevations. maybe if you have been doing sharp forever you might know. if someone knows where to look it would be appreciated. I've had a chance to look on sharp tech site and didn't find. may not have look in right place.
    thanks for any help

All I can tell you is that is the way that Sharp does it. After a few years it becomes pretty easy, since the jam codes carry across the whole line of Sharp products. I wish I could say that about other manufacturers. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

if u look in the service manual at the machine layout diagram, itll list all the sensors and locations. the jam codes willl correspond to the sensor that was not activated when it should have been or activated for too long

Silvertoast and blackcat are correct and the newest generations of Sharp SMs are pretty good but if you are looking for jam codes on some of the older models, say the cougar series then it takes a little more information. You can still find the info in the manual but Sharpnet has the jam codes for these listed. The only problem is that they are not always listed with each machine which can be a real drag. I have also found the document feed jam codes to be a little difficult to work with on the older machines, plus the fact that they are in a different service manual from the main unit. Is there any particular series that you needed?

        Good luck.

thanks for reponce. the machines we mainly work on are the arm 350/450/355/455 or imagistics equiv. we been working on them for almost 2 yrs now and some code we are getting use to and as you say they are in the manual but but have to look up we probably have to do our own decodeing and tying them out as to faster trouble shoot but was hoping to find them already done in a maner easer understood.

What is your email? I can send you the complete breakdown list/diagram/description of the jam codes for your Tiger & Jupiter machines.
