    MX2300 color lines

I think we have this figured out, but would like some other input. I've attached a scan of what the machine is doing. This happens only when there is color involved monochrome is fine. The problem did not start gradually, but all of a sudden. I could see if the magenta main charge failed, you would get those red lines like that. But why the yellow. It's almost due for color PM, so I'm going to do that anyway, and I think that will take care of the problem, but I just wondered if anyone has ideas why the red and yellow showed up at the same time. Thanks.

I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

Gene, your drums are completely stuffed! Simple as that. All the line are associated with the MC grid being worn/corroded/over charging etc etc.... I could go on. It doesnt matter if the problem started suddenly or over a period of time, those drums/grids are gone. If the CMY Drums are replaced together, then they will all be due at the same time. What you have here is normal. I've seen plenty of machines have CMYK lines over the page at the same time. Its normal. Replace the drums/grids.
