make sure the ip of the computer you are trying to send the scann to is enter correctely. If it is entered correctely verify if it is not block by a firewall.

CE-02 is lost communications between the MFP and the PC. In the Network Scanner Tool, un-check the profiles and click apply, it should come back with a successful message. Then re-check the profiles and apply again, it should give another successful message. You should be able to scan okay now. The other way is delete the copier from scanners list and then do an auto detect.

Also try deleting the scanner, then auto detect it again. Which version of sharpdesk do you have? There is a 3.2 and a 3.31 (windows 7) version update. I have also just uninstalled everything, including profile and started over!! I would like to hear your solution I also have this problem ongoing with a laptop using a wireless connection.

          Good luck.

If you set it up to scan using the host name rather than the IP, you won't have to rely on the end user to reboot the machine. When the workstation is started, the network scanner tool notifies the copier of the new IP address using the MAC address as a reference. When the PC is running DHCP & the worstation is not rebooted, the lease will expire for the IP address & the new address doesn't get updated to the machine. That's why you get the CE-02 (selected server not found). It's trying to reach the old address. The problem will continue happening unless you a) Change the scan profile to scan to host name or b) Set the workstation to a static address. It you do b, make sure you set up DNS info !!!
            Hope that helps !
