    Super Slow MX-4100

    Hello, Ive got a new install MX-4100 thats prints/copies at the rate of 16 per minute black and white. We timed it with a stopwatch. Its got a saddle stitch finisher on it. Ive looked on Sharps IDNC site and there is nothing posted there concerning this issue. Ive gone ahead and defaulted the finisher not to "offset" with the same result.

      The machine definitely works at the rated speed when copy/print from trays 1-4, single sided, no finishing, plain A4.

      As soon as you change any of these settings/paper types/modes, the speed changes dramatically. See pages 7 & 8 of the S.M.
      It can be as slow as you have stated when using A3, double sided, even slower when setup as heavy paper.

          I just thought of another thing..............

          Are you using a coin-box/swipe card device attached to the MX? This is known to slow the machine down a little bit as well. This is specification as the machine is counting and charging correctly. If you are using any vendor mode, in sim 26-3, enable PDF ADJ for better performance.
