    Copying to envelopes on MX3501

Does anybody know a way to copy onto envelopes on an MX3501? Or can you print from a flash drive? The machine is in a place where they can't hook a computer to it to print directly. Or could I scan to the HDD and print from there?
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

You can print directly from usb but only Jpeg files & they cant be inside a folder.
To print pdf etc direct from usb you need postscript option installed.
As for the envelopes why cant you just put them in the bypass?????

The envelopes are in the bypass, and with the bypass set to envelopes, if you put the envelope to be copied on the glass, it reads it as 81/2 x 11 and won't copy to the envelope in the bypass. If you don't set the bypass to envelope it will copy by will only scan about 1/2 of the original. There has to be a way to do this.

I'm not sure it will work, but login as administrator for system settings. Go to Device Control, and select Original Size Detector Setting. On the last page put a check mark in Cancel Detection at Document Glass. It shouldn't read the envelope as 8.5x11 now. You just have to remember to un-check the box when they have finished copying envelopes.

Thanks Zootech, that was one of many things I tried, it didn't work. I don't know why they made this so difficult. I think I hurt my brain on this one.

I don't know why, but, disabling offset allowed envelope printing. Thanks for the replies.
