Scan to folder slow on sharp mx3100

Does this problem happen with all 3 machines, or just one?

Check the scanning condition settings are the same on all machines, such as default resolution & file format etc etc.
Ensure the firmware is up to date.

Generally there should be nothing on the machine causing this, unless something is incorrectly setup in the condition settings. If the scans are working, I'd also be thinking something on their network is slowing things down.

I had a MX machine a few years ago have a similar problem with slow scanning & printing. Traced the problem to a damaged network cable (lying under thin carpet in high volume walkway). Run a continuous ping test just to make sure the network cable is OK. Mine would be OK for a minute, then time-out, then come good again. Slow scanning & printing was the result. I know its a long shot, but worth a look.

If your network cableis going through a line conditioner, try going directly to the copier. We have had defective line conditioners.

Surely something has to have changed on the network.

It could be that a hotfix was installed, or VLAN's on the switch have been modified or something. If all three machines are having the same issue, then you can rule out the machines.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
