Polygon motor lock. I think you can replace the motor, but I'd replace the laser unit.
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

Clear the error with sim 14, that may or may not get it working again. What kind of noise it it making? High pitched whine? The laser unit is pretty easy to get to unless you have the finisher or mailbox on the right hand side of the copier.

      Good luck.

        error code

that L6-10 is a polygon motor lock (LSU) you could try simm 14 to clear it but most likly you will need a new LSU

L6-10 is the LSU, most likely will have to change it. If you are swapping with another machine or a parts machine make sure it is a 450 LSU. The LSU's in my experince do not interchange between diffrent models.

Replace the motor, way cheaper. Just did one last week. The old style motors seem to fail after 3-4 years. Never have had to replace a new style motor.
