    AR-M257 EL Error

Did the PM when I went to calibrate the diplay was reading around 65 and ended with the error. Tried again with the same result. Copies looked fine but went light after two days. Toned up and recalibrated. Same number. Toned up some more and recalibrated. The number was around 50. EL error. Page count is 272K no other problems with the machine in the past. Thanks for any help.

Try and clean the TC sensor on the bottom of the DV unit, I have found toner build up on many of them, I make it a habbit to clean that sensor on PM's now, saves that EE-EL code.

Thank you for the tip. It makes sense now. This customer waits way too long to do the maintenance and I can see how the toner would build up and interfere with calibration. Worked like a charm. Settled right in at 105 with good copy quality.

Thanks also for the bulletin. I will keeps this in mind as well.
