    Hello all

In the past i've had tricky problems with these finishers, usually harness related but this is simple but i just cannot figure out what is going on.
the copies exit and are pulled back and jogged to sort or staple etc. problem is they don't stack evenly and when stapled they are far enough out of line that the staple misses some pages. i don't know whether i'm kidding myself but the time the exit rollers spend reversing each copy into position seems to vary. everything checks out ok and sometimed the stack will be aligned but never more the 2 sets.

anyone out there come across this problem in their travels?

    thanks

Had this problem 2 weeks ago. Changing the belts(x2) who pull the paper toward the stapler (transp. sect. 3 #8) fixed my problem.

One more thing to check, the hard rubber rollers on a shaft there, one of our guys found that one of the rollers was loose on the shaft, would spin on the shaft, causing a problem like this.
May want to check it out

The times I've had this, it was always the belts. Either a good clean or replacement will fix this problem.
Vincent has got a great idea though. Will remember that one myself.
