    [Dead] AR-M355N Firmware Update Failure

Did you get any error messages during the firmware upgrade, such as 'data error'? Are you sure you are using the correct firmware version (U/N) and elem vs non-elem. Ensure Boot & Main flashroms are installed in the correct sequence.

Sounds like the engine is working OK, but the scanner/CCD has a problem. Check for bent pins from the scanner to MFP board. Reseat all CCD cables.

Also, do a double sided copy. Check if rear side is good.

On the 22-06 printout, what is the PCU firmware version?

Before I did the flash, MFP = n1.12, Boot = n1.5A, Nic = 01.00.15, Language = 12.02, PCU = 01.03.01, Scanner = 01.03.01, and the fax = n1.01D. I obtained the file version (E00_Vn115._elm.sfu) from sharp-service old website. After the flash, the versions changed to MFP = n1.15. , Boot = N1.5D, Nic = 01.00.18, Language = 12.12, PCU = 02.00.00, Scanner =01.04.00, and the fax stayed the same. When the flash was finished, all the versions indicated OK except for fax which gave a NG. When I first started the service call I was having a communication problem with the USB port. Thats why I ended up putting it on a network so I could communicate and perform the firmware upgrade.

Even your 'newer' firmware is old.

Get the latest installed and try again.
