MX-M700U "Maintenance required" message. Did PM tried 24/04 maint reset but...

"Maintenance required" message under "Ready to scan for copy". Count at 290K. I changed drum and AR620KA and AR620KB. I did not realize that I needed 2 packs of developer and have to return tomorrow to change developer.
I did sim24/7 for drum reset and 24/4 for maintenance reset but "maintenance required" message stays in display. Is that because I haven't changed developer yet and done the developer cal(25/2) and reset(24/5)? The machine has been working otherwise though quality was off when I got there and fine when I left.
I also did some other resets that manual said to do at maintenance interval. Any guidance is appreciated. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

When I checked the counts it showed the web count as around 9000. That would seem low in terms of the pm cycle. If that is the web count would you still think that is why the maintenance required message remains? What about the fact that I have not changed developer yet or done the dv reset? The dv count was about 290K. Frank

By the way Bill, thanks for your input. I was wondering if there was someone ese out there that was an insomniac like me so i checked your profile. I see your from England and 5 hours ahead so it's about 9:30AM over there . I was just about to get a couple of hours sleep when I realized a new email was coming in from copytechnet.
Apeco was also my first machine in late 60s. I did not recognize tyne and wear as the name of a location in England . I am off to sleep now. Talk to you later. Frank

          hello Frank

is it possible the web has been reset before it ended on a previous visit?

the fuser kit, mx 705kc is required at or near 300k so it's going to be pretty much near the end now unless it's been changed out of sequence. the cleaning rollers and the felt wiper will all be at the end of life now.

i would fit all maint.parts and reset all counters....don't forget the drum and dev rotation. just follow the list in order from the handy guide.
          Bill

On that machine only 2 things should be able to trip your Maintainence required Message. Either the M-Counter has been reached or the web has totally run out which will drop a little flag down activating a sensor and throwing Maintainence required. Once that sensor activates there is no way to get rid of the message with out replacing the web.

Just change the entire fuser. MX705FU1 for 110V or MX705FU for 220V

Last time we priced it out it was cheaper to buy the entire fuser as a supply item vs rebuild it with kits not to mention you save a bunch in labor and you don't burn your fingers

Edit: just checked NA does not get the fancy 705kc kit. We have to order upper, lower, sub heat and cleaning kit all seperate. Way cheaper to get a entire fuser.
