    [Error Code] Sharp error code

I am working on a Sharp MX-3501n. As i turned it on it comes to the ready condition. After a couple of seconds it gives me a L4-30 error code. This is my first time working on a sharp copier so i have no information on this copier. I need to know what this code stands for and how i can clear it. Also if anyone has a service manual on it and a parts manual it would be greatly appreciated.

L4-30 is Controller Fan Motor failure. That is the small fan which is near the MFP board. You can visually check if it is rotating with the back cover off. If it is rotating, but throws the code, you have a return signal fault within the fan most likely. You can also run the fan in simulation 6.
My experience with most of the L4 fan codes is always a dead fan circuit. They get power to rotate, but no return signal to the PCU saying they are rotating, especially in your case where the code comes up a few seconds later.
There is no specific procedure to clear that code, as its a fan problem. Once the fan is working or its replaced, upon startup you will not get the code.

I've heard of situations like this. Unable to collect that check for past due clicks, the machine suddenly develops an error code. Hopefully you'll get paid, Luis. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
