    AR-M277 Pulliing Developer

I am working on a Sharp AR-M277. I did a developer change and performed an automatic developer adjustment. About 4 days later, ther machine is pulling developer on the copies and around the transfer unit. Is there something else that should have been do to properly calibrate it?

Did you replace the MC unit? When I ever did a PM on any AR or ARM machine, I always replaced drum, dev, blade & MC unit together as a set and I never, not once, had any problems with dev pull. I've read alot of stories over the years about machines pulling dev, and the root cause was always either a MC unit or drum problem.

We've had lots of this series machines that just loved to pull developer (and dump it into the bypass tray). It was almost always attributed to either a bare spot on the drum or a problem with the charge.

Sorry to necro the thread but I had a similar issue. A 317 was dumping dev into the whole frame, turned out the DV seal above the MG roller had folded in on itself and created a lip for the dev to ride up on and start dumping all over the place. Could have been that as well, something I always check now since my last post about it

          Re: AR-M277 Pulliing Developer

have this problem every once and awhile, when i first started it seemed like one every week. im thinking about starting to replace the mc unit more often. i was trained to clean it, if seems ok leave it , but it seems it would be cheaper to place it then to spend the time cleaning all that dev out
