    AR-M237 scanning product code???

    Hi guys,
I have a cust that has two ar-m237s. One is a parts machine and it has scanning. They want to take the boards out of the parts machine and install them in the good machine. Will I have to get a product code in order to transfer the scanning capability? Big Thanks.

What is the reason for taking boards from a PARTS machine to install into a GOOD machine? Isn't the GOOD machine working??

Product key goes with the serial number of the machine. I've never had to do what you are trying to do, but if you change boards and transfer the eeproms from the scanning machine correctly, it should be OK. But it depends on which boards you are wanting to swap over.
The additional memory will have to be transferred as well.

I'm only swapping boards so they can have scanning on the good machine without buying a scan kit from Sharp. Thanks for your help, Wazza.

I would sell them a new to them same model machine with scanning already installed, but a lower copy count.
Mark the price up enough to give them a trade-in value.

Saves you the effort of trying to make stuff work right.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Thanks NM. I've tried. This is a major (make that WAS) landscaping business. It's really sad to see all of the equipment they have that's sitting idle. They just don't have the funds to upgrade.
