Power unit trouble, or blown fuse.
    HL PWB trouble. (relay)

    Remedy
Check the connector and the harness of the power line.
Check the power voltage of 38V in the power unit and
    the PCU PWB.

Check the HL pwb. CN6 pins 1,2,3 should have 38V, CN7 pins 6,7,8,9,10 should have 38V.
The main power supply, powers the HL pwb. Check fuser 208 on the main power supply.

Havent had this one myself yet, but keen to know the outcome.

        hello,

i have checked all the fusers and they are all ok, i changed the hl pwb but no success. do you think that the main power supply is damaged?

i think i will have to order one to check, becuose it is my only such device.

        thanks

Yes, replace the main power supply. A check of the circuit diagram shows that all 38v lines come off that board. That is more likely than the PCU board being bad & not detecting the 38v line.
Did you check the pins I listed above? That is the incoming 38v line to the HL pwb from the main power supply. It should be a dead giveaway.

I spent a while looking for it in the Parts Manual but could not find it. I am sure it is in there but Sharp doesn't always name their parts what I think they should be. As I don't work on this model I also do not know where it is to be able to visually find it in the diagrams.
