Make sure firmware is current.
Make sure web unit is current (modified with brake gum roller), to stop web slowly pulling to one side, then creasing the film, causing an uneven web coating on the upper roller. In time this causes one part of the roller to appear 'dry' and with a very dull surface look. This has been proven to increase the chances of creasing occuring.
If its happening on envelopes, adjust 55-01 sw12, bits 1,2,3 according to amount of pressure you need. Eg, 001 is large amount of pressure release for env, 111 is small amount of pressure release.
Make sure the upper heat roller bushings are the correct/updated ones. The original type was black, the new type is a greeny color. The old type often starts to crack, causing an uneven pressure on the upper roller on one side. This didnt seem to cause any fusing problems (unless the crack was big enough to break the bushing in half), but did cause many creasing issues due to the uneven pressure between the rollers.
Otherwise, get some good paper, put that in the machine and run it through. Proving to a client that their very cheap/shiznit paper is the root cause of all problems is often the only way to go.
I came across something similar on a Copystar the other day. Tell me if you think it might be applicable.
The ledger sized paper was wrinkling 7 out of 10 from tray #4, but no effect on any other paper, and no effect on the same ledger paper fed from the MP tray.
An enduser (in our office!) set tray #4 to "Thick" media type for standard 20lb bond. Changing back to "Plain" media type was all that it needed. Who'd a thought? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
fuser entry plate / guide has toner build up on it mainly rear frame side
customer loading paper and accidentally folding over corners of papers resulting in uneven stack (i tend to inspect by pushing up metal lift plate at the bottom of the tray to reveal )
the adiabatic bushing installed on the upper heat roller (as mentioned in first reply from wasa)
and paper in general....i really want to tell my customers this but i cant its simple with paper sir put shit in get shit out
