    word 2007 printing issues(Sharp)

    Hello all
I am having some troubles with an MX-2600N printing from Word 2007 on 64 bit Win7. When you go to print and try to go to properties this message comes up: "Windows can not display the properties because of device configurations." or if you just say print it says "can't print file because printer has returned an error." I have uninstalled the driver 3 times and it still will not print. all configurations are correct within the configuration tab of the print driver also. I have changed soft switch in 55-3 switch 9 data 5 to a 1, and also disbled snmp to no avail. Has anyone ever seen this? Or anyone that can lead me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!!!!!

The processing of the time data obtained from the Windows OS, may result in the print spooler crashing (unable to open properties) under the following conditions:-
    a. 64bit Operating System only.

    b. When using the MX series PCL6 or PS custom driver only.

    c. PC/Server is running all the time and the customer prints using the custom PCL6/PS drivers after approx. 11-50 days since the PC/Server was started.

If the above symptom is experienced, upgrade the MX series print driver with the following version (or higher):-

    PCL6: 05.02.38.243 PS: 05.02.40.243

Just install the very latest. Never use the version on the CD that comes with the machine. God only knows how old that is.

I just had this conversation Monday. A customer wanted to buy a driver disk like the original that came with the machine. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
