IMO that is a bad move on Sharp's part. I personally have found his assistance better than any I received by calling the hotline. Ahhh, maybe it is time for a "name change" - Perhaps we need to start a "name that guy" post till he finds one he likes, and then he can say he is from....
If not, and if he still reads the posts - thanks for all the assistance you provided.
Sharp's a bunch of pantie waists, communication between actual technicians is better than waiting on a crappy tech support line any day. Don't know what they think might be gained by discouraging knowledge that keeps their machines running well, insuring happy customers and keeping the brand name in good standing with their customers. Retards.
Wow, that's terrible. I get much better support off of here than from hotline. He has helped me get out of a bad spot a bunch of times since i joined here. Also, maybe Sharp should look at upgrading their piece of shit forums to something similar to this and people would actually use it.
I think that's all a bunch of nonsense, but hope he'll come back in one form or another. At least it's not as bad as I thought - when I started to read this thread, I thought he had had some kind of accident or worse.

I'm just an ex-tech lurking around and spreading disinformation!
I am sort of new to the sharp line. Have worked on Canon, Xerox, and HP about 12 yrs. I don't understand sharps mentality on not having a decent tech forum, so I asked one of the instructors. He told me it has to do with liabilty of a tech giving bad info and the consequences resulting from that. Seems like every other company got around that somehow. Anyway, I am thankful for this forum and the techs who help out.
I like your line there mrwho.
I thought about one I had heard from a Duplo instructor one time. He said The customer told him that "The machine ran sandpaper through it before... Why not now?"

Crying shame that they force him to stop posting. He was as valuable if not more valuable as a sharp tech than most of the people I've heard about/met/worked with. Not to say the people I work with don't know their stuff at all, which is simply not the case... But you could tell Wazza had been around the block a few times.
Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil?
