    Sharp MX Email alerts

Being fairly new to Sharp (ive been 25 years in Ricoh & Kyocera), can someone advise me how to open the attachments that are sent when the MX machine sends a dealer email alert? The only one i can open is the Diagnostic txt info which is a .RC1 file,
    The others are .R02 .R05 .R07 .R08 & .R09 file extensions
Your advice appreciated as always guys

Not sure but i think files with extention .Rxx are compressed files. Maybe u can try Winrar to open them.

I get a bunch of email status alerts every month and there are attachments in those but i have never had to open them. They always show all information i need, copy counts, print counts and scan counts in the email itself.

I believe it's all the MIB information & you need one of the Sharp software suites to open it. I think Printer Administration Utility or one of those.
          Hope that helps !

Perhaps RED reader would be what you're looking for?

Sharp has made an import utility (or Sharp UK). I found it on an UK site long ago. Unfortunately it requires a licence key. Otherwise you are only allowed 5 imports.
You also have to activate the Email diag product key on the MFP.
If anyone from Sharp UK know anything about this please let me know..

Not been on here for a while but the update to my post is as follows:
After enabling email alerts you need to enable the email diag product key as Mr. Fix It states (this is a free licence key obtainable from Sharp web site https://dse-pub.sharp.co.jp/key/) Install Redreader as Akitu states in previous post (obtainable from the Sharp tradenet site for free) & you can open the attachments. The attachments you will find are quite informative. Thanks again for the replies guys.

Hi I've been trying to find the RED Reader software and haven't had any luck. Could you maybe attach it to an email and send it to justanyolname@hotmail.com or if you know of a link to download it, email the same. thanks
