[Misc] can the Sharp MX2610N support true postscript?

Can anyone tell me if the Sharp MX2610N has the option of true PostScript? From what I can tell the MX-PK11 expansion kit can be added for PostScript support but is true 100% Adobe PS or is it emulated?

From what I was told, only Ricoh uses true PostScript. All other manufacturers must emulate it.

Depending on what optional features you need to use, I've heard of other techs loading a Ricoh PostScript driver and pointing it at another manufacturers printer successfully. The hitch will be getting finishing, stapling, two-up, you know, the option specific functions to work with a different driver.

If you try this, let me know how it comes out. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Don't have a Sharp, were looking into getting one but they seem to be oriented more towards business graphics. We are in publishing.

As I understand it the only manufacturers to offer true postscript without the addition of a Fiery Rip are Canon & Ricoh. My preference is for Canon.

seems like your looking for production color

look into xerox ,canon, or ricoh.
sharp and toshiba do not have any real production color, just office color.
sharp has thier own internal print controller, you need a product that supports external print controller like fiery or splash.
        good luck with that.
