Sharp Drum Kit help Please : )

    Hi,

So I have a Sharp AR-M450n+ and I am wondering how long a drum kit lasts for?? I just had it replaced last month & did 47,000 impressions and now the drum is shot and I need another drum kit

My questions is are all drum kits for this machine 50,000 impressions??? I have been looking online for them and I keep finding the sites say they yeild 100,000. I have been buying my drum kit from a local place in town & when I asked him he says they only come in 50,000 and the 100,000 ones are scams????

I am in Canada so if anyone knows a good place I could order my own drum kits online that are legit! I would really appriciate it : ) Thanks for any help or advice!

The AR-450DR OEM is rated at 50k, but depending on usage and condition of machine it may last a lot longer or shorter length of meter count.

Check Katun but they are aftermarket; good quality drums though

Use the AR451DR drum it is rated at 100K and comes pretty close most of the time but even with this drum I have had to replace it at 65 to 70K before.

        Good luck.

I've had similar experiences. Avoid aftermarket drums & blades. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

yup per the manual 50k, we use the katun ar-451 drums also and they typically last to about 100k, have a few in the field that have gone closer to 200k with no problems and excellent copy quality. will also depend if ur doing alot of 1 copy jobs rather than longer jobs.

When that machine was launched it came with a 50k drum and 100k DV. They then switched to a 100k drum. When you went to the 100k drum you had to change some values in sim 44 so process control could adjust for the 100k drum. You also need the new style drum pawls that are included in the AR450KA M-kit

Description: A 100K PM Cycle drum is now available for use in the above listed machines.
                .
Details: The following 4 requirements Must be met to adopt the 100K PM Cycle.
To determine if the machine is already configured for the 100K PM Cycle.
                1) Engine Firmware must be at version G00 or higher.

As your machine is a ARM450
                44-1 = 255
                61-2 = 100
                61-3 = 100
                61-4 = 100
                21-1 = 100
                26-38 = 0
