Has anyone else experienced this issue? When trying to print to the bypass tray it will not pull paper from the bypass. We defaulted MS office word 2007 to the bypass tray, and it still doesn't take paper from the bypass. It has happened in numerous accounts. I have had this issue on the Mx2600 thru 5001 mostly. I know it's a glitch or setting in word cause everything else prints fine .

Have had issues with Word 2007 printing from the bypass but only as it applies to envelopes. Still haven't got that figured out! Do they have Service Pack 2 installed? That is a must have for Office 2007 as there are all kind of issues with it.
Good luck.

Not sure if this can help you but its worth a try.
The printer settings are ignored when you print a Word document
What i understand is you have to modify the page setup of your word document.Comment

I understand that Word overrides the drivers settings;but when I manually change the default paper tray settings in word to the bypass tray,it refuses to pull from the bypass instead it pulls from tray 1. I even had their national IT head mess with all the settings in the word doc ,and default settings and still the same issues!Comment

Tray setup
(1) Simulation setup
Change the tray setting in the "system setting" mode. If "Disabling
of Tray Settings" has been enabled in the system settings (administrator),
the tray settings (except for the bypass tray) cannot be configured.
1) Press the [SYSTEM SETTINGS] key.
2) Touch the [Paper Tray Settings] key.
3) Touch the [Paper Tray Settings] key to configure the settings.
These settings specify the paper type, paper size, and functions
allowed for each paper tray. When the [Tray Settings] key
is touched, a list appears showing the trays and the current
settings.
4) Touch the [Change] key in the above screen to change the settings.
The following settings can be configured.
(2) Tray size setup
1) Pull out the paper tray.
Gently pull the tray out until it stops.
If paper remains in the tray, remove it.
2) Adjust the guide plates A and B by squeezing their lock levers
and sliding them to match the vertical and horizontal dimensions
of the paper to be loaded.
The guide plates A and B are slidable. Slide each guide plate
while squeezing its lock lever.

had this same problem. customer could print to bypass in Word 2007 but not Outlook. But by selecting the bypass tray in page setup when you go to print instead of in properties, the bypass worked fine.-----------------------------------------------
