Mx 2300N leaving dark lines only in plain paper mode

My sharp 2300N is leaving horizontal lines when printing to "plain paper" at the plain paper setting. It is perfectly clean if I print to 'Plain paper" at the heavy or label setting but then lose the ability to duplex. Any ideas where to start looking at why this would only be happening in plain paper mode...

    Thanks

    hi
the only diference betwen heavy and plain paper is heater temperature and speed of copier
    check heater settings
if you do self print do you get the lines?
if you make copy do you get the lines?
    good luck

Also it starts getting lighter as I run on plain paper but doesn't go completely away, and if I stop and start again it is as dark as when I started the first time....but the first one on "heavy or label paper" is clean.

Is your firmware up to date

If not, i recommend you upgrade it. There was some change in the fuser temp.

Then go to sim 55-1 switch 2 and make sure bit 1 = 1

Can you post an a scan of your problem ?

Having seen your scanned photo, it appears a problem with black drum unit. Replace black drum unit MX27GUSA or use the kits.
