    Sharp MX2300

Customer complains about a rattling sound at startup and when the machine has just finished copying.
There are no paper jams and no error messages.
Sound does not come from the heater. Looks like its coming from the exit No clue here.

    Any ideas
    Thanks in advance

The rattling noise could be coming from fuser unit. Try changing the upper/lower heat rollers and also use sim6-02 to check operation of fans.

The fuser rollers on this machine are notorious for developing flat spots. You don't tend to hear it as much when copying because of the other noises the machine is making, but when warming up or after a copy job it is much more noticeable. Change the rollers or the entire fuser unit.
