Sharp AL-1641cs w/blurry copies

3 month old Sharp AL-1641cs with blurry copies. I changed the drum, cleaned optics and everything else, but copies still unclear. I didn't set it up but the customer said it has always been like this. Any clues out there?

They look great, I could come up with anything but the internal prints were fine, I dinked around with the optics and it looks great now. I'm not sure what I did but i thing something might have been loose.
