Re: sharp mxm 850 POIND N JAM
Oh boy where to begin on this one, let's start with the duplex:
-adj SIM 8-20. Don't go too crazy or you will get background.
-adj SIM 43-1 values A and B way down.
-make sure it has a "Z2" transfer belt installed with serial # of the belt at the rear.
-clean sensor and run SIM 44-3 -drum potential sensor.
-try changing paper or in the large cap trays, try flipping it over. Sounds stupid, but it eliminates it as an cause.
And as always, make sure the firmware is up to date. You can also adjust luminosity in the soft switch settings but its a long shot.
Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!Comment

Re: sharp mxm 850 POIND N JAM
I also have a machine doing exactly the same, always when duplexing. It appears to be flipping the lead edge at the drum seperation. Speaking to other Engineers, this has always been a problem on this model. Sharp did modify the transfer belt and drum sep pawls, but my problem is on a brand new machine thats only done 200k, and the machine has latest spec. I would be interested to hear if anyone has an answer to this as well.Comment

Re: sharp mxm 850 POIND N JAM
Hi guys,
here we have same problem but without any solution.
firmware is f00 so should be updated (or not?).
Belt is Z2
Sim 43-01 put both A/B values to 160 degrees
Paper is not so bad. it's not "navigator" but it's ok
do you have any clue.
Thanks a lot for your kind help.29 rouge unpair manque.... cous cous....Comment

Re: sharp mxm 850 POIND N JAM
Hi Guys, we had something similar on an mxm1100 (new). After long runs we would get POIND_N jams, as well as a couple of other jam codes. Went down the paper route with no joy. Turned out to be the reg motor. On long runs it would heat up, bind, and slow down. Dont know if this will help you.Comment

Re: sharp mxm 850 POIND N JAM
My customer user a medium quality paper on almost 100 machines of differente producers, (ricoh, sharp and canon) without any particular problem.
On 85 ppm we checked Belt and Pawls... but after last firmware update (f01) and lowering fuser temp looks isn't jamming anymore. We are going to check it on a weekly basis.
I'll going to keep you informed.
Thanks.29 rouge unpair manque.... cous cous....Comment

Re: sharp mxm 850 POIND N JAM
We had two MX-1100 machines in the same room running the same paper and only one of the machines had this problem.
We tried everything on this forum and well as on the Sharp bulletins, with no success.
We tried replacing the pre-transfer lamp as well as a full PM including drum, charge kit, developer, sep claws on drum unit, and transfer belt.
We finally installed a new process unit and that fixed our problem.Comment
