this machine seems to have an issue with toner building up on the drum cleaning blade (rear side). i have search other posts here and i can turn the waste auger on the drum and it turns. however i am starting to think maybe it is the the drive clutch or motor on the main frame. is there a clutch or motor that fails on this machine. interval between failure is about 11,000 prints?

I recently had one of the machines do exactly as you are describing. It ended up simply being the the waste toner in the cartridge was full and backing up spilling out on the read side of the drum and would fall all over the read side of the machine and developer unit. The intervals may change depending on the usage and the waste toner usually ends up filling up before toner is empty due to coverage and usage.

waste toner is not full ? thanks! just finished looking at drum unit i have adjusted the position of the rear seal so it is under the cleaning blade similar to the front seal. time will tell.Last edited by Northwestservice; 09-07-2011, 11:14 PM.Comment
