    Sharp MX-M623

    Here is the problem:

Customer have the user name and password list, but I can't pass the user authentication screen.

trying to go into the copier web page I got a message "Can't access the controller try again later."

I have access to simulation mode and able to print, but I'm not familiar with this model.

    Any help will be appreciated

    Regards

Are you able to log in as an admin? Can you make user changes from the web page?

      Thaks for your fast response:

      No, I can't.
From the touch screen I can select any of the users already in the MFP and the password button, also I can type the password with the numerical keypad

When I type the IP address in the browser (IE) after a while I get this message:
"Can't access the controller try again later"

Do a NIC reset with sim 67-17, you'll lose your network settings but should be able to access it afterwards, if not I'd be inclined to think your network card blew. Is it a U or an N model?

If authentication is enabled there should be an admin button. Password should be admin, all lower case. If this has been changed you can reset it using sim 24-30.

If that lets you login enter system settings and do a factory reset on the NIC from the network settings menu. As Akitu said 67-17 will reset all your configurations in network settings on the webpage.

            It's an N model.
I don't see an administrator button,
Looks like authentication is enable, is there a way to disable authentication from simulation?
also, how can save the network settings from simulation mode. 'cause simulation mode is the only way I can access the MFP.

                Re: Sharp MX-M623

Lets see if the service web page works.

Enter the specifiedURL (http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/service_login.html) and enter the servicing page menu.

                Default password: "service"

The password can be optionally changed in the Password

                Setting menu.

If the password is changed and forgotten, use SIM24-31 to

reset the password to the default.

You can access user control here by the looks of it.

I think im going to agree with IGI. If you can't access the service webpage knowing you do have the proper IP of the copier then your NIC has probably kicked the bucket which means a new MFP which is going to hurt.
