    AR-208D Blank copies

hello guys i recently visited one off my clients that says that when they try making a copy, nothing comes out on the paper, so i did a visual inspection on the drum unit, developer unit main grid, transfer charge unit, i havent seen anything abnormal, i did see a small developer spill when i first open the front cover off the copier, but it still had most off the developer in the dev unit, also i visually inspected the three springs that interface with the main grid, can someone give me some tips on what i can do next? was thinking to swap a drum unit and developer unit and see what happens, any help would be most apprecited, thanks in advance.

Are the self prints (TC 64-1) coming out? Can you stop the copy cycle midway and see if there is an image on the drum? If there was a DV spill, you may have a HV short.

yea was thinking that the high voltage pwb might be shot, i did not try 64-1, i tried to stop the copy process to see if there was an image on the drum, but did not see anything the drum, would the laser unit give me an error code if it were faulty?i am thinking it should, thanks for your feedback appreciate it

E7-02 is a LSU error code for loss of Beam Detect signal - can be tested with TC 61-03. The HV pwb is a good spot to start if there is no image on the drum, but there might be a short in the MC, so check that first.

The laser would give you an error. The transfer charge or developer bias probably would not give an error.

Perchance, is the scanner lock engaged? It wouldn't affect internal prints, but it's very common. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If scanner lock is engaged, it will code out with L1-00. (That lock is removed at setup at our dealership; it has saved many trouble calls.)

Clean the scanner rail. It gets caked and won't move all the way to the right when using the ADF. It can also get stuck when using the glass and not give a code but will usually make a weird noise.
