    MXM310N Maintaince Required after PM

hello guys i did a PM on MXM310N about 2 weeks ago, changed drum and dev, i cleared all counters etc.... client called yesterday, said they are seeing Maintaince Required on lcd screen, so i went back to the client and yep i saw it for myself, i checked Sim 24 and the drum and developer was only doing 13,724 copies, so i am abit stumped here, was there something i messed up on when i was doing the PM? can someone point me in the right direction please.thanks in advance

The only thing I can see is this statement from page 8-31 in service manual. But it applies to sim 24-4 which is the simple maintenance reset. I don't see how this may be helpful but it's all that I can find so far, nothing on the sharp website that I could find for this model. What is the meter on this?

    Good luck.

31 sheet model: When maintenance message is displayed, replaceconsumption part reaching the number of sheets of maintenance,
then clear the replaced part's counter only.

When replacing Drum and DV you should reset:
      24-4 M-Count
      24-5 DV Count
      24-7 Drum Count

Double check the M-Count preset in Sim 21. It should be set to 5 for 150k. If it's set to 1 it will pop the counter at 10k.

Also check to see if sim 26-6 is set for your country. Maybe if the machine is set for the middle east they mess around with the m-count preset. I know when you set a new machine from USA to Canada the energy savings are set for 1 minute on auto shut off vs 10 minutes in theUSA.

Just out of curiosity, did this box have network already installed out of the box? In Canada we can't get a "N" model and have to add every option to the machine. I think it's pretty retarded that Sharp was not putting network in these right out of the box. It also needs a color scanner and this would be the perfect machine for a small office...... The engine is a brick Sh!t house and that feeder works really well.
Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

I agree with you on the color scanner would be a major plus for this machine. In the USA we have to install each part, print, scan memory, fax, etc! Very annoying for us as well.
