    Sharp MX-7001N Pricing ???

I found a Sharp MX-7001N showroom demo unit for sale less than 150 copiers on it with a used saddle finisher for sale for 6900.00

What do you think of this price ?

    Thanks Scott

The price on the machine sounds ok. I'd be concerned how "used" that finisher is though. How long has it been sitting? If it's 2 or 3 years old (not impossible for that box considering it was launched in 2007) you might have to replace color drums sooner than expected as they do have a shelf life.

I stole color drums out of a 5 year old brand new ARC260M and they were shot. The machine could not run calibrations because the density on the drum was so poor.

The price does sound good. I agree with Lawrence though, how used is it? I would attempt to color calibrate it before you purchase the machine. That way, you will know if the consumables are good and if not you can talk down the price.

It's out of state so can't see it but I have bought copiers from them before and had nothing but great copiers and service.

The meter is under 150 copies. It came from Sharp's showroom.

Good Point - I'll check it.

Drums are relatively cheap. But if color DV is exhausted from sitting, you are looking at high $300's for the tri pack of developer. Drums are like $27 each and then if those are needed you would want to replace the MC Kits. They are ~$35 or something near that.

If you have a solid history with the supplier, maybe they could do some color tests for you. (My experience is that most of these dealers have limited SIM knowledge -especially on color) Have them send originals and the copies. Also a SIM 22-6 print out could tell you a lot!

If all is as stated - GOOD DEAL

              Good Fortune with it.

FYI We got a real clean, low meter (23K BLK, 10K Color) 3501 about 6 mos ago. DV was good but had to change drums and MC Charge Kits.
