MX-2300N hangs when sending large print job

    Hello all
I have a very stange issue on my hands today. Customer is printing statements of about 2000 pages to an MX-2300N. When they send the print job it starts printing fine with no issues. However, about 1/2 way through the job the copier will say "Please Wait". They let it go for about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes than have to unplug and restart copier. The print job is lost and with thier statement program they have to start the entire print job over again. I have never seen an issue like this. Ussually the "please wait" message disappears after about 30 seconds.
Has anyone ever ran into a similar issue, or have ANY ideas on what to check? I have updated the firmware to version ICU main : 01.19.P0. Thanks for any insight you can give as to the customer I look like a lost puppy on this issue. THANKS!!!

Is there an alternative method for them to print their statements, without using their statement program? Would be an option to eliminate a fault with the program that might be causing it to hang up.

If there is an alternative, I have yet to find it. I tried to see if there was a way to export a PDF and then print but no such luck.
Just to throw some more in to the mix. I just received a alert email from this machine that reads "The number of Job Log reached to the designated value." Never seen this before either. Any ideas on what this means? Do I need to manually go in and delete the Job Log? Is this done Automatically? Thanks again!

I've not had personal experience with that, however it sounds like the job log is full, and recalling my training as best as I can, it has to be cleared from the web page through the service log in. I've not had to do it yet, hence the training reference, apologies if I'm incorrect.

Are they printing using the PCL6 driver or the PostScript driver? Perhaps the alternative might work with more success, though at this point I'm just grasping at straws. Quite the pickle you have there, hopefully someone with more experience than myself can provide better support for you.

You can do it through the web page or system settings. Once the job log reaches 60,000 these have been known to cause issues.
          Hope that helps !

Have you tried changing the print driver advanced setting from vector to raster? Have had to use this on a couple of 2300's that we have for larger jobs or certain color prints. Are the statements in color? Have you tried to change any of the other print driver settings?

              Good luck.

Have a couple of other questions/suggestions? Is the client using User Authentication? Try printing the file to a .prn file and then use your USB memory stick locally to see if it will print. This will eliminate the machine as the problem if it prints properly. This provided by our friend down south!

                Good luck.

User authentication is not being used. The statements are in black and white. I have not changed any other settings within any of the print drivers. I went there and cleared the job log with 62-10, and will have to wait till statement time next month to see if it resolves the issue or not. Thanks for the responses!
