Hi everybody, I've a big problem with my sharp mx-c311, today in my copier appear an error e7-22 and suddenly it stopped to work.
Could someone help me?
That code is a problem with the laser for magenta. You could be looking at a new laser unit. If you are not a technician, you should call one for this error. You could try cleaning the slit glass for magenta...
Thanks for the support, I've tried to call the nearest tech support but I've to wait too much...
If there is a service manual with picture maybe i can try to restore my fax - scanner - copier - ...
After that, have I to make a reset procedure for remove the e7-22 code and test if the problem is gone?
Has the code happened only once? Have you reset the machine using the main power switch? Has any tech support asked you to do a "14"? there is no end user cleaning that will fix this, the highest probability is the magenta laser diode has failed, all 4 color(S) diodes are on one pwb, if one fails the whole board needs replaced. Second is the beam detect board has failed. (Both within the laser unit) This is not an end user repair. A green tech would replace the whole laser unit, a experienced tech could do the board itself. Find a repair person that will quote you both prices. Do not try yourself, unless you are a tech, its a very delicate unit, and will cost you ALOT more if you fail repairing it yourself.

I've reset all code with the simulation test, but nothing happened... I've cleaned all two times, and all two times, the machine restart, but after 50 copies, the code returned...
I've removed the lsu unit and verify that the 4 glass are perfectly clean, so I think lsu need repair.
Now I'm try to call a tech support to send my copier.
