    arc-260m Drum reset

How do I reset the drum counter on this machine?
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Test Command 24-07, choose which drum to reset and execute.

How do I get into service mode and how do I get the drum unit out?
I can get into simulation but it won't let me access anything but full reset code 80.
I have the drum unit and need to make this customer happy.

If you are getting 80's codes you are in the "secret" service mode, don't change anything there. P*C* will access service mode. Once the dv/toner unit is out one screw and the drum unit should slide out.

Careful, if you can get to TC 80, you are in the reserved "special access codes" area; this is, as you noticed, for setting the copier back to factory defaults.
To enter Test Commands, press #*C* and enter your 24-7 to reset drum counter.
To remove drum, open both front and left side doors. Pull transfer belt out half way, remove the toner cartridge and loosen the blue screw. The drum unit should slide out.
After drum replacement, skew and focus adjustments should be done.
          Good luck

If the transfer belt is not pulled out part way the drum units will be locked, won't come out. Or something will break. Zootech gave good advice.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
