I am trying to set up RED on some of our older machine. The problem being that our older machines do not support SSL. Therefore, I need to find a free email provider that did not require SSL, in order to send an email. I found out that port 25 was the port everyone used back in the day in order to send email before SSL.
I found a free mail provider called lavabit.com that would allow me to send email over port 25. It worked for like a week and now it is not working. I was wondering what other professional in the field do to get around these issues with machines that do not support SSL.
Any help or ideas on this situation would be very helpful.
