    [CQ] Sharp MX4100

    Sharp MX4100
Customer says copies started to go light and eventually blank.
Black and white copier are blank, color copies only show yellow.
Sim 44-06 fails with K HV error
Checking voltages with Sim 8-1 and 8-2, with meter, I cannot get voltage readings even close to those in display.
Replaced HV PWB, same symptons. BW copies are blank, color copies only show yellow.
    Replaced PCU board.
Put suspect PCU and HV Pwb to another machine and installed and both worked.
Panic stopping the machine shows no image on Black, cyan or magenta drum.
    LSU passes internal test.
Powering on machine, machine goes through normal warm up and goes ready, no error codes

    Any suggestions welcome.

Could it be something obstructing the laser for the colours in question?
And I wonder why it's not coding out as it initializes?
Surely it must fail drawing patches?

You mentioned copies and not prints? Does it print okay but not copy?

Have you tried another transfer belt?

It was the LSU shutters.... solenoids and dv don't generally mix well

          Thanks for replies
