    MX-M550U will it work...?

    Hello,

Im in position of buying an MX-M550U wich didn't even finished his first toner but is without network and i can't find atm a used network card so im thinking of using a print server like i used on many AR-5316 but will the ''beast'' work and be able to use if not all the function's at least part of them?
The price is more than resonable for this kind of machine at this counter and it has the finisher too and im planning to replace my AR-M451's from copy center with this kind of machines. There is no need for scanning since i have other machines to use for.
Or do u have better ideeas than print server?

I don't think so. The last Sharp model I recall that would print to parallel via a print server was the Tiger series (AR-M280U, AR-M350U, AR-M450U). The Jupiter would not (AR-M355U, AR-M455U). =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

itll take more than the net card to turn a 550u into an 550n

According to the manual this came with print standard in the U version (if so it is the first one since the ARM350 series as blackcat mentions). Not network print though. Will have to take a closer look to see if it has a parallel connection, the ARM550 did but I do not thing the MXM series does. Will get back to you later today when I drop by one of the schools.

        Good luck.
