What work is required when the Sharp AR-337 has a maintenance time light on the display? This copier also displays an F2 code. I noticed that the developing unit seal is missing. Could this be the cause for the F2 as well as the dark shadow copies? Also the code won't reset. Any help appreciated, thank you.

Re: Sharp AR-337
what sub code? Sometimes the toner supply roller goes bad. Do the PM and check the roller inside the toner box. Big mess if you need to replace it. Sometimes with the age of these machines it is better to replace box as a unit. -

Re: Sharp AR-337
The sub-code is important. If it's F2-02 it's most likely overtoned due a a worn foam roller. Ask the customer if they just added toner recently.
If it's F2-31 or -32, most likely the drum mark sensor or ID sensor are covered with toner, or the drum mark is worn on the drum.
You should replace the upper developer seal if possible.
A typical 100K PM includes developer, drum, blade, transfer and separation corona wires, and check the fuser rollers, assuming you can get any of those things. I expect that the machine is too obsolete to do a proper PM. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
