I am getting a line pattern on the whole page with a blank line inserted between causing the print to be elongated and the data is being reprinted two additional times in the main scan direction (laser scan). Black only, color seems OK. I have formatted the HDD, cleared all image data, Flashed the machine, reseated all the connectors on the PCU board, replaced all the memory DIMM's on the MFP board and finally replaced the MFP board (at Sharp's instruction). Scan and fax are normal. I had the same problem on an ARM350 some time ago and replacing the MFP board did resolve the issue. Has anyone seen this or know if this is a laser unit problem. In simulation 64-5 the color and black test prints are normal. I have attached a sample. The first page is what the 2nd should look like.

Re: MXC402SC Lines
The scans do not exhibit this problem nor do the faxes. Primarily black only in copy, print, and some simulation modes, but not 64-5 which is the PCL color test pattern. I have seen an occasional extra line in color but no background pattern.Comment

Re: MXC402SC Lines
We had a MXC311 doing that. It was a dirty laser.
Attached is the sample we were given showing the laser producing the bad copy.Attached FilesEvil will always triumph because good is dumb.Comment
