Depending on which DIMM slot you replaced, it may require a 512mb chip.

Oh, ok, well I'll try to find a 512MB DIMM on ebay or something. Thanks again.

All of the functions on the printer, as far as i can tell work fine(copy, scan, network etc.) except the print functions.
The machine would print fine what is scanned directly to it's HDD, but prints nothing from any computer, or from a flash drive.
I've tried printing directly connected via usb. Tried via ethernet, to no avail.

One article recommended a firmware update, which i did attemp, only to realise that the firmware was already a later version than the one recommended to solve the problem.

Does anyone know how to deal with this issue?
I'm with igi; sounds like you do not have the correct driver for your OS/model.

it is possible that it was hooked up to a fiery and then sold separatly to you . you will have to reconfigure the network settings. good luck.

Jobs seems to go the printer and end up in the spool. The status of the oldest job to arrive is "ripping" and when it is selected the option to cancel or delete is not selectable, though the others below it can be canceled.
The jobs are stuck in "spool" and never make it to job queue.
I do not know if it has a PS kit, I try to use the PCL driver since it is listed as the most compatible. I tried printing via directly connected USB to no avail. Also to print via flash drive to no avail, same problem as above.
Interestingly enough, when the job is sent via network, the name of the user on the computer is listed. When attempted from a flash drive, it gets listed as "UNKNOWN USER".

Here are the screenshots of the print port settings (i think).

I tried printing various formats from usb, PDF (created by the machine itself via usb scanning) tiff, ps, jpg none work.

I replied a few times but the replies don't seems to be persistant, i hope it is this time, thanks for all the replies.

I agree with IGI...Try downloading the correct driver from the Sharp web-site. It sounds like you do not have the correct driver for this unit . You need one that is for your operating system and make sure you pick one that matches the same bit as your pc. Tx

                  Re: Sharp mx-6200n issue

Problem was already resolved as stated by OP. Why necro an old thread with a new solution for a problem that was resolved?

Yeah, I didn't know how to close the thread or change the title, I tried. If general users don't have the authority to do so, maybe a mod can handle it?

I don't think I've ever seen a thread get closed here that didn't just get way outta hand. Sometimes it's beneficial, either OP hasn't stated a resolution or someone else may encounter a similar problem and doesn't want to create a new thread for the same problem. Necrothreads are always fun!
