2 inches ( when trailedge leaves reg roller) there is a band(darker) in the image on card stock (not that thick)

Even though the card stock is not that thick, the bypass tray is rated for Heavy Paper up 56lbs - the bypass tray must be set to Heavy Paper and is limited to 40 sheets.

Yes it is set for Heavy on machine and print driver.

I have seen this when the paper hits the fuser roller and hesitates for a milisecond. Try adjusting the fuser motor velocity for heavy paper in Test Command 48 sub 6.
