    [Dead] MX-M850 Blowing Fuse!

    Hey Gang,

I'm working on an MX-M850 that has a blowing fuse issue. This problem is sporatic...

The fuse that is being blown is fuse F1 on the DC Power Supply PCB (main) ... The result is loss of all 24v and 36v. We have replaced the Controller PCB, PIC PCB and DC Options Power Supply PCB.

When replacing the fuse, the machine will come up and operate as normal for 3 to 4 hrs then pop.. blows fuse again!! We have tried finding a short and cannot locate any issues or pinched wires that we can see.

Anyone have any ideas or had this problem before???

    Thanks for any input

    Re: MX-M850 Blowing Fuse!

    Hi
    blows after 3-4 hours,heat related.
1-is all your filters clean + all your fans runung? thats the first point of heat.
2-next is a motor most likely after runing for period of time starting to heat and blows the fuse. after cooling down it runs for 3-4 hours again.

can you disconnect some options from your copier and run without them, try to iluminate as many as you can,
the add them one by one to see which one is the culprit

    cheers
