Scanning on MX-M 160D under Win 7 64 bit produces black sites

    Hello,

our client has a Sharp MX-M 160d, which worked perfectly under Windows XP.
Now there is an new Notebook with Windows 7-64 bit... we install the newest drivers and software and all is working fine including Sharpdesk and Button Manager (after changing registry like it was recommended by Sharp Support here in another thread)
But scanning does work sometimes and in most cases it does not.
We scanned 6 sites in different formats (tiff, jpg, pdf) and using different ways (sharpdesk, button manager, windows scanner)
    The result was:
Sometimes we got four black sites and two correct sites, sometimes only one site was correct and the others black, sometimes all six sites were black.
Once or twice we got six sites with correct result.
All this seemed to be independent from way of scanning or format of the file.
Has anyone an idea what has to be done?

    Thanks a lot.

In most cases we used the feeder, because the client wants to scan documents with a lot of sites.
I don't remember exactly... but I think, the result was similar by using flatbed... sometimes correct result, mostly black sites.

I just set up a MXM200D and had a problem with button manager on Windows7 64 bit, but was able to scan using Sharpdesk and selecting the copier (tried both TWAIN and WIA drivers) then using the acquire button! Worked great both ways! Still working on the button manager part but for now she is happy with this setup. You may want to try which ever driver for scan you are not currently using?

        Good luck.

Thank you, but I tried with both drivers (TWAIN and WIA) and the result is always the same.

For the problem with the buttonmanager I found help here

following the link in post #14, worked perfectly.
